Professor Isam Ayoubi
Isam Ayoubi is presently CEO of The Thinking Company, a research and consultancy firm based in Amman-Jordan, and founder and managing partner of Golden Section Productions, a film and media Production Company, that focuses on documentaries and children/family films. Prior to these positions Dr. Ayoubi was executive producer for the Pink Panther and Pals animated series (78 episodes), produced jointly between MGM and Rubicon, where Dr. Ayoubi was serving as vice president.
Dr. Ayoubi also spent several years in education. Among the major accomplishments in this field, Dr. Ayoubi was chief architect and developer of the eMath and eScience, comprehensive k-12 blended learning e-education programs, together with its teacher training, that were successfully implemented throughout Jordan, with prototypes and partial implementations in Algeria, Morocco and Oman. Dr. Ayoubi still holds excellent relations with several ministries of education in the region, and consults on various issues ranging from k-12 education to vocational and technical training to university-based education. Dr. Ayoubi was vice president, chief business development officer and chief technology officer at Rubicon from 1999 to early 2010. Prior to that Dr. Ayoubi held a variety of teaching and research positions at several universities, most notably the American University at Sharjah, the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals in Dhahran, and Texas A&M University. Dr. Ayoubi served on several committees and taskforces, including the W3C MathML 2 committee (as an invited expert), and Princess Sumaya University of Technology as a member of its board of trustees. Dr. Ayoubi has a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Texas Tech University (1989), an M.S. in Mathematics and B.Sc. in Physics. He lives in Amman-Jordan. He is married and has one son.
